How air freight pricing works
Air freight is calculated using chargeable weight. The application compares the shipment's actual weight with its volume-based weight and uses the applicable chargeable value, subject to the minimum.
Chargeable weight = max(actual weight, volume-based weight, 45 kg minimum)
The current calculator uses the shipment volume when determining the volume-based weight and then selects the applicable configured rate tier.
