When you calculate a quote or create it as a PDF, we process the information you enter, in particular company and contact details as well as shipment data, for rail freight the HS codes entered and, where provided, the goods value. Processing takes place to handle your request, create the quote and carry out pre-contractual measures.
If you choose another destination in Germany for an FCL quote and no stored rate is available for the postcode entered, the postcode may be transmitted to an external geocoding or routing service to determine the road distance. No names, email addresses, phone numbers or supplier data are transmitted to the routing service for this distance request.
When a booking is made, the customer, supplier and shipment data required to handle the transport are processed. Where necessary to process and perform the requested logistics service, this data is transferred to GDB Logistics Germany GmbH. GDB Logistics uses the data to process the booking and for operational transport and warehouse handling.
When quotes and bookings are created, confirmations and documents may be sent by email. The email addresses provided and the information relating to the respective request are processed for this purpose.
